REBEL
RUN
This tune was originally a
tribute to Duane Eddy. The name was taken from the street my
HS was on. A depressing name, because whenever I'd see it, my
prayers for the school bus to crash had been dashed. The
magnitude of my school spirit can be judged by the fact that I blew off
my graduation.
Still, the mid 70's was a mellow time. By my
senior year, there were virtually no rednecks or badasses in my
school. Later, the PC thugs came after the mascot and
nickname,
and that sucks (though I got a good joke out of it). So, in
honor of your 75th Anniversary, here's to you, Fairfax High!
